TRAILER

From the French new generation, Belaza’s work is based on a detailed research into music and the body. Her ability to create a vast universe out of minimal element is epitomized in <Le Temps scellé>. A dark space. The sound of wind. Percussion echoing, filling the void, hermetic sylphidic singing voices. Dancers whirling, bobbing, like dervishes. An alchemy to extract from the primitive world. The more furious the music, the deeper the movement. Two figures their upper bodies shaking violently, like ancient ceremony, repeated since time immemorial, still working like hypnosis over the audience. Belaza’s is a dense stage of time, space, and spirituality. (Shigeto Nuki, Dance Critic)
